The Brass Band concerts have been confirmed as on the last Blog
Sunday 19th June Yorkshire Community Brass Band
Sunday 10th July Altofts & Normanton Brass Band
Sunday 21st August Friendly Brass Band
All starting at 14-30 and finishing at 16-30
Please do try to come to them as I am sure that you will enjoy the fine music
Our " Lark In The Park " will take place this year on Saturday 23rd July and is certain to
to be as good as the previous ones. The programme has not been finalised yet, but will
include the usual childrens races, face painting, drum workshop,and East Leeds FM Radio
As in previous years we start at 12-00 noon and finish at 3-00pm
Bring the family and have a great time, all FREE!!!
Our AGM is on Tuesday 7th June at Edmund House Social Club Pontefract Lane, starting
at 7-00pm. We are looking for new members, so why not come along and join us, new faces
and ideas are always welcomed.

WINTER UPDATE 2011
There is not much going on at the moment , but the positive news is that we are to have our usual
3 Brass Band Concerts again this year, thanks to the continuing support of our three local Councillors
Richard Brett, Ralph Pryke and Ron Grahame.
The dates to put in your diary are

August 21st Friendly Brass Band
All start at 1430 and finish around 1630.

WINTER UPDATE NOVEMBER 2010
The new MUGA was officially opened by Cllr Blake assisted by Cllr Brett and children from
Richmond Hill Primary School. Also in the pictures are Terry Nunn Chair of the Friends of
East End Park, Betty Kirk Treasurer and staff of the Parks Dept.
This years bonfire and firework display was as usual very well attended and enjoyed by all , the weather
turned for the better and it was quite a pleasant evening.
Plans are taking shape for next years events, we will hopefully be having the usual three Brass Band
Concerts- dates to be confirmed early in the new year. Our very poular Lark In The Park will take place again next year , the proposed date is Saturday23rd July, if any one has any ideas or can help practically
or fnancially we would be pleased to hear from you.
Other plans in the pipeline are improvements to the tennis courts, but these are at a very eary stage, so more on this next year.
It just remains for me to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2010
We have just the one event still to take place and that will be held on the park weather permiting next Saturday 4th September.
So get youselves down and bring the children along, you will all have a great time.
We were blessed with good weather for all of the band concerts, so lets keep our fingers crossed for The Lark In The Park.

Summer 2010 update
Hi there.
We have had two very good band concerts so far this year, our final one is scheduled
for Sunday 22nd August at 1430hrs . Please do try to come along, there will be
seating provided, or if it is dry just sit on the grass and enjoy the music.
The band is The Tenderloin Jazz Band so there should be plenty of foot tapping.
Along with other groups we are arranging another "Lark in the park " this year,it
will be held on Saturday 4th September, from 1200hrs-1500hrs, it will be an
afternoon of great FREE!! fun for both the young and old alike, so get all your friends
to come along and support us.
The next meeting of The Friends Of East End Park is on 17th August at 1900hrs
and will be held in Edmund House Social Club , Pontefract Lane.
